About the Job

The Legal Editorial Associate will support the Practical Law editorial teams in the creation, publication, delivery and presentation of content.

The role involves collaborating with Legal Editorial Associates in Hyderabad and colleagues in the US and UK, under the direction and oversight of two Managers based in Hyderabad.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor of Laws or an integrated undergraduate degree in law, or 3+ years of experience as a paralegal.
  • Experience with UK and US legal systems is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent proofreading skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Prior legal training and/or experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a publishing environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience using technology to create and disseminate online content is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive research within legal frameworks and beyond, as required.
  • Review content in document templates to ensure proper rendering on the live site.
  • Resolve template usage problems as required.
  • Proofread content for typographical errors and broken links on the live site.
  • Assist with writing and copy-editing content.
  • Identify content requiring review and help ensure that the review process takes place.
  • Liaise with colleagues and external contributors where appropriate.
  • Respond to customer queries as appropriate and support others in ensuring questions are answered and published appropriately.
  • Help collate business intelligence data reports and other reports and spreadsheets related to content creation and management.
  • Evaluate AI and LLM models as needed, including experimentation, prompting and evaluation of results.

Mode

Hybrid. Office-based roles generally involve working 2–3 days per week in the office, depending on the role.
