About the Job

HPE is hiring for the position of Legal Operations Analyst in Bengaluru. The role is part of the Operations, Legal and Admin teams and focuses on supporting the Legal Department through financial analysis, legal spend management, operational projects, process improvement, and technology-enabled workflows.

The position is designed as onsite, with an expectation that the selected candidate will primarily work from an HPE office.

Eligibility

  • 2–4 years of experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or a related functional area.
  • First-level university degree.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and macros.
  • Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to handle diverse assignments.
  • Strong time-management and organisational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow through on task objectives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving, multi-task environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Eagerness to contribute to department efficiency and effectiveness.
  • SAP S4 experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial management and analysis to the Legal Department.
  • Develop and manage budgets and create and track financial metrics, processes, and tools used to plan, forecast, and administer the Legal Department’s budget and financial needs.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of legal invoices and prepare spending-related reports and audits, with a focus on reducing costs and increasing efficiencies.
  • Identify, research, and resolve billing issues with outside counsel and other legal service providers.
  • Generate analytical reports to provide visibility on legal spend and related items.
  • Support Legal Operations projects and drive timely and efficient results.
  • Liaise with teams to understand their challenges and develop coordinated strategies to streamline processes.
  • Support Legal Department workflows by understanding and designing processes and mastering related technology.

Management Level

The role requires intermediate-level subject matter knowledge to address a variety of common business issues. The position involves working on moderately complex problems, providing analysis, contributing limited project direction, exercising independent judgment within established practices and procedures, and evaluating unique circumstances to make recommendations.
