About the Job

Yes Bank is expanding its Corporate Legal Team at Yesbank and looking for talented individuals to join them in Mumbai!

Eligibility

Profile 1

• Qualification: LLB/Equivalent Law background from Tier-I law colleges in India; LLM or CS degrees shall be preferred
• PQE: 3-6 years of relevant work experience.
• Pre-requisite: Should be working or have worked in a bank, financial institutions, or law firms.

Profile 2

• Qualification: LLB/Equivalent Law background from Tier-I law colleges in India; LLM or Certificate courses in Digital Banking, AI, and Technology from reputable institutions would be preferred
• PQE: 6-10 years of relevant work experience
• Pre-requisite: Should be working or have worked in a bank, IT company or Fintech.

Responsibilities

Profile 1

(i) Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating credit/lending and security documents for corporate and govt. customers of the bank; (ii) Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various banking arrangements; (iii) Analyzing legal issues and issues related to legal risks and providing advisory/recommendation to business teams; (iv) Legal review and revision of standard contracts, policies and templates of the bank (v) Acting as an interface between external legal counsel and business teams for various assignments or Projects; (vi) Tracking and updating laws and regulations.
Exclusion: (i) Candidates with only Litigation or Retail or Collection profile shall not be considered (ii) No hybrid structure of working shall be permissible.

Profile 2

(i) Awareness of laws, guidelines, rules and regulation issued by RBI, NPCI etc. related to digital products and information technology (ii) Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various agreements (NDAs, MSAs, SaaS/license agreements etc.) with service providers, technology service providers, fintech partners etc.; (iii) Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various Information Technology contracts (hardware, software, maintenance services, procurement etc.) (iv) Analyzing legal issues related to legal risks and providing advisory/recommendation to business teams; (v) Legal review of product notes, standard contracts, policies and templates of the bank (vi) Acting as an interface between external legal counsel and business teams for various assignments or Projects; (vii) Tracking and updating laws and regulations.
