About the Job

Linxon is hiring a Legal Counsel to support the global Legal team with a broad range of legal work, excluding tax matters, across multiple jurisdictions including AMEA (including India), the UK, Europe, and the US.

The role involves working on contractual, regulatory, and compliance matters while supporting global business operations and managing legal and regulatory risks.

Eligibility

  • A law graduate from a reputable university.
  • Admission to the Bar.
  • Private practice or in-house experience as a qualified lawyer, preferably in international work environments.
  • Strong legal foundations with expertise in legal concepts, drafting, negotiation, and research.
  • Problem-solving, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to legal work.
  • Diligence, attention to detail, and strong work ethics.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools such as Lexology or Practical Law.
  • Ability to research different areas of law across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in fast-paced, cross-jurisdictional environments.
  • Commercial and legal acumen with sound judgment.
  • Excellent proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages will be an advantage.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance work, particularly data or AI compliance, will be an added advantage.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally based on business needs and work with a global team across different time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Review and negotiate complex contractual documents, RFPs/tenders, and other legal documentation for local or international EPC projects.
  • Review non-disclosure agreements and other project-related documentation.
  • Support Hub Legal leads on litigation and claims management.
  • Review and negotiate IT services procurement contracts, including SaaS, cloud-based solutions, software licensing, managed services, and technology support agreements, and advise the IT function accordingly.
  • Support the Data Protection Officer in managing data compliance tasks such as maintaining Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), coordinating Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), providing advice on GDPR compliance obligations, and monitoring AI compliance.
  • Assist with legal operational matters such as horizon scanning and legal technology.
  • Conduct legal research on various topics, including corporate sustainability reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a legal partner to the business by offering pragmatic legal advice and support on legal queries and matters to manage contractual, legal, and regulatory risks.
