About the Job

The Manager – Legal and Regulatory will be part of the Sports Business Legal Team and will provide legal support across assigned channels. The role involves advising on sports media rights acquisitions, commercial agreements, advertising and marketing initiatives, and day-to-day legal matters relating to sports properties and business operations.

Eligibility

• Experience working on media rights tenders and documentation related to sports media property acquisitions.
• Strong ability to review and interpret complex contracts.
• Demonstrated experience handling legal and commercial matters in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage critical and high-value projects within demanding timelines.

Responsibilities

• Support media rights tenders and documentation relating to the acquisition of sports media properties.
• Review, interpret, and advise on complex agreements, particularly sports media rights and slot sale agreements.
• Analyse and address legal queries arising from commercial and operational arrangements.
• Provide legal support on operational matters relating to sports properties.
• Advise on general legal issues and support correspondence with licensor boards.
• Conduct periodic rights analyses.
• Provide legal advisory support for ad sales initiatives, including branded content, sales activations, and event campaigns.
• Oversee day-to-day approvals for advertising creatives.
• Support marketing activations for sports properties, including campaign approvals, promotional activities, and contests.
• Contribute to time-sensitive and high-value projects, including complex sports media rights bids.
• Summarise key provisions across sports-related agreements and assist in maintaining online tracking systems.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including:
  • Talent agreements.
  • Endorsement agreements.
  • Agency agreements.
  • Sub-licensing agreements.
  • Distribution agreements.
  • Ad sales agreements.
  • Production agreements.
  • Service agreements.
  • Other operational contracts.
• Collaborate with legal, business, and operational teams to provide day-to-day legal guidance.
