In 2024, Aggarwal College of Law (Women) was established, affiliated with Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, and approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. About the Opportunity

“Late Lala Rattan Singh Gupta 1st National Level Moot Court Competition” is being organised by Aggarwal College of Law (Women) with the objective of promoting excellence in legal research, advocacy, and courtroom practice among law students across the country. Designed to simulate real courtroom proceedings, the competition provides participants with a rigorous academic platform to engage with contemporary and complex legal issues. Through the preparation of memorials and oral arguments, participants will enhance their analytical reasoning, research methodology, drafting skills, and professional courtroom etiquette.

The competition aims to foster healthy competition, intellectual discourse, and legal scholarship while promoting inter-institutional interaction and exposure to diverse legal perspectives. Conducted in a structured and professional environment, the event seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical legal education and practical application.

Eligibility

The Competition is open exclusively to those students who are currently enrolled in bachelor of Laws, whether through the three year Program LL.B (Hons.) or the Five year Program BA/BBA LLB (Hons.) program.

  • First Place (Winning Team): ₹5,100/-
  • Second Place (Runner-up Team): ₹3,100/-
  • Best Speaker Award: 1,100/-
  • Best Memorial Award: 1,100/-
  • Certificates of Participation shall be awarded to all participating teams.

Important Dates

Late Lala Rattan Singh Gupta 1st National Level Moot Court Competition will be conducted in virtual mode from 12th to 13th March 2026, hosted by Aggarwal College of Law (Women), Ballabgarh, Faridabad, Haryana in a virtual mode.

The registration fee for the national moot court competition is ₹1000 per team. All the teams are required to make the payment through UPI (Phone Pay, Google Pay, etc.), payable in the name of Aggarwal college of Law (Women), Ballabgarh at the UPI ID/ Mobile number provided at the end of the Brochure. Soft copy of the registration form along with proof of payment should be submitted by 9 March 2026.

Registration link will be closed on 9 March 2026 by 4:00 PM.

The registration fees details (screenshot receipt etc. and a hardcopy of the original sealed and signed registration form should be sent with memorials without fail. The registration fees shall be non-refundable.
