About the Event

The Alliance School of Law, Alliance University, takes immense pleasure in announcing the ‘Justice N. Santosh Hegde National Moot Court Competition, 2024’. (Alliance Moot Court Society (AMCS) | Alliance University). 

The Competition is set to take place in hybrid mode, the virtual round, i.e, the preliminary round will be conducted on 24^th February 2024 while the further rounds to be conducted physically from 21st March 2024 to 23rd March 2024 at the Alliance University, Central Campus.

Date of the Competition

• The preliminary round of the ‘Justice N. Santosh Hegde National Moot Court Competition, 2024’ will be conducted online through the video conferencing application ‘Zoom on 24th February 2024.
• The Researcher’s Test will be conducted Online on 23^rd February 2024. 
• The octa-final round, quarter-final round, semi-final round, and final round will be conducted OFFLINE at Alliance University, Central Campus on 21^st March- 23^rd March 2024.

Eligibility

• Participation in the ‘Justice N. Santosh Hegde National Moot Court Competition, 2024’ is strictly restricted to bona fide law students enrolled in the three-year or five-year LL.B. or B.L. degree course in any institution recognized by the Bar Council of India.
• Only one team is permitted to participate from each registered institution.
• Each team shall comprise of a minimum of two and a maximum of three members. In a team consisting of two members, each of the members shall be designated as ‘Speaker’. In a team consisting of three members, two of the members shall be designated as ‘Speaker’ and the third member shall be designated as ‘Researcher’.

Prizes

• Best Team: The Team winning the final round of the Competition shall be given a trophy and a cash prize of INR 1,00,000/- (Indian Rupees One Lakh Only). 
• Runners-Up: The runners-up team in the final round of the Competition shall be given a trophy and a cash prize of INR 60,000/- (Indian Rupees Sixty Thousand Only).
• Best Orator: The Orator having the highest oral score in the preliminary rounds shall be given a cash prize of INR 15,000/- each (Indian Rupees Ten Thousand Only). 
• Best Written Submission: The team having the highest written submission score from the Appellant and Respondent side shall be given a cash prize of INR 15,000/- each (Indian Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only). 
• Best Researcher: The participant having the highest researcher’s score shall be given a cash prize of INR 15,000/- (Indian Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only). 
• Certificates of merit shall be given to all the teams qualifying for the Octa-finals and beyond. 
• Certificate of participation shall be given to all the participating teams.

Registration Procedure

• Interested teams must register themselves for the competition by 27th January 2024 (before 11:59 PM IST) by registering on the Google Form provided in Google Drive.
•  In case of incomplete registrations, the team’s application shall get rejected automatically. 
• Each Team is required to upload a bona fide letter issued by the appropriate authority along with the seal of their College/ Institution/ University along in the duly filled Registration Form
•  Registration Fee is Rs. 2000/- per team which shall be paid through the payment link provided on the official website before 5^th February, 2024.
