About the Job

HAQ & ALLAM is hiring for the position of Legal Assistant/Junior Legal Associate for its Kochi office. The role offers exposure to arbitration, corporate, and litigation matters involving UAE, Egypt, and India.

Eligibility

• LLB degree from a recognized university in India
• 0–2 years of experience in a law firm or legal department
• Fresh graduates with a strong academic background may also apply
• Preference will be given to candidates based in Kochi or those willing to relocate

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on UAE corporate and litigation matters
• Draft notices, replies, agreements, pleadings, and other legal correspondence
• Assist in handling UAE corporate and litigation matters from the UAE office
• Manage client correspondence through email, phone, and other communication channels
• Maintain and organize case files, documents, deadlines, and legal databases
• Coordinate with Indian clients on legal and litigation matters
• Support senior lawyers in court filings, hearings, documentation, and related proceedings
• Ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures, and applicable laws

Skills Required

• Strong legal research and drafting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Team-oriented, proactive, and professional attitude
