About Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution
The MNLU-CS Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution is a student initiative that took shape in 2022, to promote academic interest and research on themes about Alternative Dispute Resolution, constituting dispute resolution methods like Arbitration, Negotiation, Mediation, and Conciliation.
The Centre aims to promote and strengthen ADR mechanisms across the nation by providing a platform for unbiased study and research in the field.

About Journal for Dispute Resolution
The Journal for Dispute Resolution (JDR) is an open-access, bi-annual, and double-blind peer-reviewed journal of MNLU-CS. The journal aims to provide a platform for meaningful discourse on contemporary legal issues surrounding ADR in India and international jurisdictions.
Volume IV Issue I of the Journal for Dispute Resolution by the Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, published in August 2026, features a diverse collection of articles and case studies, exploring mediation, arbitration, negotiation, and innovative approaches. It serves as a crucial platform for legal scholars and practitioners, offering insights into contemporary trends, legal developments, and theoretical frameworks in dispute resolution.

Themes and Sub-Themes
The Journal welcomes submissions on the theme of “Pluralism in Dispute Resolution: Bridging Individual Rights, Community Interests, and Corporate Governance.” Authors are also welcome to submit on the following sub-themes:
- Individual-Centric ADR: Access to Justice, Family, and Human Rights
- Community & Informal Sector ADR: Collective Rights, Labor, and Public Policy
- Corporate & Institutional ADR: ESG, Global Commerce, and Governance
Note: The above sub-themes are only suggestive. The journal welcomes submissions on any contemporary topics related to domestic and international arbitration and other contemporary topics on Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms.
Authorship
- Co-authorship up to two authors is allowed.
- Every authorship or co-authorship is limited to a maximum of one submission.
- Students, academicians, professionals, and doctoral researchers are invited to submit their work.
- Submissions are accepted in the English language only.
Word Count
- Short Articles: Typically up to 2500 to 3500 words (Abstract of 200 words).
- Long Articles: Typically up to 4000 to 8000 words (Abstract of 200 words).
- Case Comments: Typically up to 2000 to 3000 words.
- Legislative/Policy Comments: Typically up to 2500 to 3500 words (Abstract 200 words).
All the above-mentioned word counts are exclusive of footnotes.
Format and Citation
- Font type and size of the main text must be Times Roman, 12.
- Font type and size of the footnotes must be Times Roman, 10.
- The main text and footnotes must have a line spacing of 1.5 and 1, respectively.
- Citation style must adhere to Bluebook (21st Edition).
- Each submission should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 200 words and five keywords.
- Relevant details of the author and their affiliation would be captured only through Google Form. The submission should not contain any reference to the identity of the author to enable anonymous screening and peer review.
- Manuscripts must be in MS-Word (docx) format.
Submissions that do not adhere to the guidelines provided shall not be considered for review.

Copyright Policy
- Submissions made to JDR must be exclusive and must not have been previously published or submitted elsewhere.
- The contribution presented to and accepted for publication, along with the copyrights therein, shall be the Intellectual property of JDR and vested with JDR.
- The author(s) are to cite their sources and acknowledge the sources for the content that is not original.
- The author submitting the manuscript agrees to give the JDR all the necessary rights to produce, distribute and publish the manuscript, including but not limited to offline or online media.
