About Mr Jayant Sinha

Mr. Sinha is a second term Member of Parliament from Jharkhand, India. Mr. Sinha won his Lok Sabha
elections in 2014 and 2019 with record margins. As Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Finance,
Mr. Sinha leads the 31 member Parliamentary panel that has oversight of the Ministries of Finance,
Corporate Affairs, Statistics & Program Implementation, and the Niti Aayog (the government planning
agency).

About the Internship

The office of Mr. Jayant Sinha, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, and Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Finance is looking to hire interns in the areas of Policy Research, Strategy, and Communications for the duration of 2-3 months.

Eligibility

• Enrolled in Undergraduate courses in any discipline
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to prioritise multiple activities and competing demands
• Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
• Knowledge of research methods is desirable but not essential
• Most importantly, the “3Cs” that Mr Sinha always looks for in an individual: Competence, Character, and Compassion

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and provide insights on contemporary policy issues
• Work with the Research & Legislative Team to support the delivery of key research outputs
• Conduct research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
• Devise a strategy plan for communications, to be executed across platforms
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure brand consistency
• Carry out research into local, constituency-related issues as required, ensuring the team is made aware of any relevant issues
• Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and other relevant applications.
