The Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL) is inviting applications for internships, with students able to indicate their preferred month of internship.
About Centre for Trade and Investment Law
The Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL) was established in the year 2016 by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). The Centre’s primary objective is to provide sound and rigorous analysis of legal issues about international trade and investment law to the Government of India and other governmental agencies.

About the Internship
CTIL has opened applications for internships for interested students.
Eligibility
CTIL welcomes internship applications from students who are currently pursuing law and who hold a keen interest in the field of international economic law.
Additional Information
- An ideal intern is expected to exhibit interest and exposure to the fundamentals of international trade policy, international economic law or public international law. Participation in national or international moot court competitions, conferences, paper presentations or publications are desirable.
- Interns are expected to have a basic understanding of WTO law. A candidate who has been selected as an intern is advised to do background readings before joining the Centre.
- Each intern is assigned a mentor on the first day of their internship. At the end of every week, interns must have a weekly meeting with their mentors to inform and brief them on the assigned tasks.
- As part of the internship program, interns are required to make presentations in groups on contemporary topics of international economic law towards the conclusion of their internship.
- Subject to compliance with all the rules, and completion of the assignments to the satisfaction of their respective mentors, the interns are awarded their internship certificate.
