HNLU to Conduct 1-Long Novel Faculty Development Programme from 11-16 September 2023 for All India Faculty

HNLU has designed a novel Faculty Development Programme (FDP) aimed at enhancing the teaching, learning, and research skills of Law and non-law faculty from 11th to 16th September 2023. More than 150 academic faculties from across the country have registered and the sessions of the FDP are to be handled by Vice Chancellors/ Deans and Academicians of reputed institutes across the country.

Recognizing the crucial role that faculty members undertake in crafting enriched academic environments, this FDP is designed to address the modern challenges and methodologies vital in upgrading the teaching and research dynamics. This initiative by HNLU aims to reimagine the deliverables with a critical thinking foundation to benefit the teaching fraternity in the context of emerging needs of national and international confluence.

The programme is to be enriched with distinguished and a stellar panel of resource persons. Raj Kumar, Founding Vice-Chancellor, OP Jindal University, Prof. Vijender Kumar, Vice-Chancllor, MNLU Nagpur, Prof Manoj Sinha, Director, ILI, Prof Nishtha Jaswal, Vice-Chancellor, HPNLU, Prof. Surya Prakash, Vice-Chancellor, NLIU Bhopal, Prof. Shantha Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, GNLU, Prof. NC Chakraborty, Vice-Chancellor, NUJS Kolkata, Prof. Sudhir Krishnaswamy, Vice-Chancellor, NLSIU Bangalore, Prof.V.C.Vivekanandan, Vice-Chancellor, HNLU, Prof. Ved Kumari, Vice-Chancellor, NLU Odisha, Prof. (Dr.) GS Bajpai, Vice-Chancellor, NLU Delhi, Prof. Rama Kakani, Director, IIM Raipur. The resource persons include Prof. Shubha Ghosh, Crandall Melvin Professor of Law of Syracuse University Prof.Yogendra Srivastav, Dean at HNLU, Dr. Uday Shankar, faculty of RGSOIPL IIT KGP, Dr. Aparna Chandra, Faculty, NLSIU will be addressing the participants on contemporary themes during the week-long Faculty Development Programme. The sessions to infuse innovative skills and the best practices to the teaching fraternity.

Prof. (Dr.) VC Vivekanandan, Vice-Chancellor of HNLU remarked that “This FDP has been designed to navigate the changing educational landscape, equipping the younger generation of teachers for delivering the requisite teaching and research output. The specific themes chosen for this FDP are novel in its construct and to be delivered by experienced academics which will be a crucial output to the participants in handling their academic assignments.

This FDP is organized under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) with Dr. Pankaj Umbarkar as the Programme Director. The Sessions are coordinated by Dr.Anita Singh and Ms. Garima Panwar, Members, IQAC and Faculties, HNLU.
