About the Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer India Internship

The Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer India Internship is designed for high-performing law students in India who are interested in gaining international legal experience.

Successful applicants will spend three weeks at the firm’s London office during June/July 2027. Interns will rotate through two practice areas and work on live deals and cases for global clients. The programme also includes dedicated supervision, structured feedback, workshops, presentations, and opportunities to engage with trainee associates and legal professionals.

Eligibility

• High-performing law students in India.
• Applicants should be graduating in 2028.

Responsibilities

During the internship, participants will:

• Rotate through two practice areas.
• Assist on live deals and cases involving global clients.
• Participate in workshops and presentations aimed at developing legal skills.
• Engage with supervisors and receive structured feedback.
• Attend networking and social events with legal professionals and trainee associates.

Trainee Associate Opportunity

Upon successful completion of the vacation scheme, participants will be considered for a place on the firm’s Trainee Associate Programme.
