About the ICFAI Law School

The ICFAI University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand (hereinafter referred to as the University) was established under the ICFAI University Act 2003 (Act No.16 of 2003) passed by the Uttaranchal Legislative Assembly and assented to by the Governor on July 08, 2003. ICFAI is the only non-governmental institution among two Indian Universities on this list.

ICFAI Law School (formerly known as Faculty of Law), a constituent of the ICFAI University, Dehradun is established with the objective of developing a new generation of legal professionals through the comprehensive and contemporary body of knowledge integrating law with Management/Humanities.

About the workshop

The Centre for Corporate Law and Governance, ICFAI Law School is organising National Workshop on Competition Law on ‘Mergers/Combination under Competition Act and Emerging Issues in Competition Law and the Career Prospects’ from 22nd and 23rd September 2021,4:00 PM onwards.

About the Speaker

SPEAKER I: ( 22/09/2021)- Mr Bharat Budholia, a Partner in the Mumbai Office, specializes in Competition/ Antitrust matters. He advises clients on the full spectrum of competition issues, including cartel enforcement, abuse of dominance and merger control. Bharat has represented domestic and multinational clients across diverse sectors, including financial services, airport infrastructure, cement, banking, insurance, sports, media, energy, steel, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, transport and telecom sectors. His experience Partner, AZB & Partners (2019 – Present) and Key Practice Areas Competition / Antitrust

SPEAKER II: (23/09/2021)- Mr Jayant Bhatt is an Independent Lawyer based out of New Delhi, India. He holds dual Masters of Law (LL.M.)from New York University, USA & the National University of Singapore and is a member of the prestigious Supreme Court Bar Association and Delhi High Court Bar Association. His office caters to varied clients comprising Governmental and Non-Governmental Bodies, Multinationals, Financial Institutions and individuals in an array of matters.

He has a keen interest in teaching and mentoring young minds and is an advisory board member to various organisations.
