About the Organisation/ University

Government of Tamil Nadu by an Act of State Legislature [Act No.43 of 1997] established the Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University for the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in learning, teaching and research in the field of law. His Excellency Shri. K.R. Narayanan, former President of India inaugurated it on September 20, 1997, and the University started from October 3, 1997 onwards.

About the Event

The competition provides a platform for students and researchers to critically analyze the evolving field of Financial Technology (FinTech) from a legal perspective. It focuses on legal challenges, regulatory concerns, and future opportunities in areas such as payments, lending, blockchain, and AI in finance.

Eligibility

Open to students of law, economics, commerce, management, and finance from reputed institutions.

Theme

“The Rise of FinTech: Legal Challenges and Opportunities”

Sub-Themes (illustrative, not exhaustive):

  • Regulatory frameworks for digital payments and e-wallets
  • Data privacy, cybersecurity, and consumer protection in FinTech
  • Cryptocurrency, blockchain, and smart contracts: legal dimensions
  • Cross-border financial technologies and jurisdictional issues
  • Role of FinTech in financial inclusion and digital lending
  • Balancing innovation and regulation in the FinTech sector

Submission Categories

Individual article submissions only (no co-authorship mentioned).

Selected Top 10 entries will be published in an edited book/journal with ISBN.

Prizes

  • 1st Prize: Cash Prize + Certificate of Excellence

Formatting Guidelines

  • Word Limit: 2500–3500 words (excluding footnotes)
  • Language: English
  • Citation: Bluebook (20th edition)
  • Plagiarism: Not more than 10% allowed
  • File Format: .doc/.docx only
  • Manuscript: Must not disclose the author’s identity

Style:

  • Main Text: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing
  • Footnotes: Times New Roman, 10 pt, single spacing
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides

  • Quality of research and analysis
  • Proper citation and compliance with formatting rules
  • Clarity, coherence, and structure

Submission Guidelines

  • Articles must be original and within the word limit.
  • Upload via the official Google Form (link below).
  • Identity of author(s) should not be revealed in the manuscript.
