About the Faculty Development Program
This Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Criminal Justice Administration is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and expertise of faculty members who teach in the field of criminal justice. The program aims to ensure that educators are up-to-date with the latest developments in the field and can effectively prepare students for careers in criminal justice, law enforcement, and related professions.
This Faculty Development Program on Criminal Justice Administration aims to create a dynamic and informed faculty that can provide students with a well-rounded education in the field of criminal justice, prepare them for careers, and contribute to ongoing research and improvements in the criminal justice system. It is essential for faculty members to stay updated and engaged in their discipline to effectively educate the next generation of criminal justice professionals.

The program will span across 6 days, from 9th to 14th October, and will have two sessions every day between 05:00 p.m. to 07:45 p.m. A total of 8 resource persons drawn from diverse law schools will engage the learners and the Inauguration and the valedictory function will be performed by the Chief Guests invited.
Objectives of the Program
The objectives of this FDP on Criminal Justice Administration read with the three bills passed are,
- Curriculum Enhancement: Focuses on reviewing and updating the curriculum to align it with current trends, research, and best practices in criminal justice. This includes integrating new technologies, incorporating relevant case studies, and ensuring that courses are relevant to real-world issues.
- Legal Updates: Faculty members are updated on recent changes in laws, regulations, and court decisions that impact the criminal justice system. This ensures that they can teach students about the legal framework accurately and comprehensively.
- Use of Technology: This FDP covers the latest advancements in technology used in criminal justice, such as forensic tools, crime analysis software, and digital evidence management systems. Faculty members learn how to integrate these technologies into their teaching.
- Pedagogical Techniques: Educators are introduced to effective teaching methods and strategies specific to criminal justice, including case-based learning, simulations, and experiential learning opportunities. These methods help engage students and enhance their understanding of the subject.
