The SACJ Essay Writing Competition is the society’s annual flagship event designed to encourage legal scholarship on emerging themes in criminal law. Open to law students and researchers across India, the competition seeks to foster nuanced debate on contemporary issues while offering participants the chance to win cash prizes, have their work published on the SACJ Criminal Law Blog, and gain recognition through certificates of merit and participation.

Eligibility
Students/Research Scholars enrolled in any UG/PG/PhD course in any Indian University.

Word Limit: 3000 words (including hyperlinked sources)

- Last date of submissions: 20th October, 2025
- Announcement of Results: 15th November, 2025
