Christ Academy Institute of Law (CAIL) is a law school in Bangalore, affiliated with Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), that offers undergraduate and postgraduate law programs like B.A. LL.B. and LL.B.. About the Opportunity
The Youth Red Cross Committee (YRCC) of Christ Academy Institute of Law is delighted to host the Inter-College Elocution Competition on the theme “War and Peace.” The competition is open to all students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
Eligibility
- Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students from institutions offering Law or any degree programs.
- Each participant may represent only one institution.
- Multiple entries from the same college are allowed, but individual registration is mandatory.
Registration Details
- Registration Fee: ₹300 per participant.
- Last Date for Registration: 20th November 2025
- Participants must fill out the official Google Form provided by the organizers.
- Proof of payment must be uploaded along with the registration form.
- The payment scanner and account details will be attached within the form.
- Incomplete registrations will not be accepted.
Competition Structure
Preliminary Round (Online)
- Date: 25th November 2025
- Mode: Online (Google Meet link will be shared prior to the event)
- Participants will deliver their speech live before a panel of judges.
- Selected participants will qualify for the Final Round which will be conducted offline.
Final Round (Hybrid)
- Date: 26th November 2025
- Venue: Seminar Hall, Christ Academy Institute of Law, Bengaluru
- Shortlisted finalists will present their speeches before the audience and judging panel.
- Online mode is available for participants from institutions outside Bengaluru.
Theme and Topic
- Central Theme: “War and Peace.”
- Participants may interpret the theme creatively, historically, politically, legally,
- Philosophically or through humanitarian perspectives.
- The speech must be original and delivered in English.
Time Limit
- Each participant will get 5 minutes to deliver their speech.
- A grace period of 2 minutes will be permitted.
- Exceeding the total limit (7 minutes) may result in deduction of marks.
Judging Criteria
Participants will be evaluated on the following parameters:

- 1st Prize: Rs. 5,000
- 2nd Prize: Rs 3,000
- E-certificates will be awarded to all participants.
Rules and Guidelines
- The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.
- Use of obscene, political or derogatory content will lead to disqualification.
- Participants must switch on their cameras during the online round.
- Reading from paper or screen is discouraged.
- In the final round, participants must be present at the venue 30 minutes before the event begins.
The organizers reserve the right to modify event details in case of unforeseen circumstances.
