About the Job

Sterlite is hiring for the position of Assistant Manager – Compliance (Compliance Officer – Manufacturing Plant). The role involves ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance at the plant level, monitoring compliance execution, and guiding plant teams on applicable compliance requirements.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Commerce, or a related discipline (LL.B preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in a plant-level compliance role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with compliance management tools or software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to Silvassa or Vadodara / Haridwar or Jharsuguda will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory and regulatory compliance for manufacturing plants.
  • Ability to interpret laws and assess applicability.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance at the plant level in accordance with applicable central, state, and local laws.
  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance reporting through compliance management tools.
  • Monitor compliance dashboards, follow up on pending actions, and escalate non-compliance where required.
  • Resolve compliance-related queries raised by plant users and stakeholders.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of on-ground compliance implementation.
  • Prepare and submit compliance review reports highlighting risks, gaps, and corrective actions.
  • Assess applicability of new compliances arising from operational changes such as installation of new equipment or process modifications.
  • Coordinate with HR, EHS, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams for implementation of compliances.
  • Track amendments in relevant laws and communicate impact to plant management.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities, inspectors, and auditors during inspections and audits.
