About the Opportunity

The Remote Compliance Consultant is responsible for ensuring that their clients adhere to legal standards (focus on Anti Money Laundering Rules and Regulations) and in-house policies, even from a distance. They will be instrumental in enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business and will provide guidance on compliance matters, including sanction screening, risk assessment, and transaction monitoring.

• Must be comfortable working in a fully digital environment, using various software and communication tools
• Work Timings (GST Timezone)
• Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• 1st and 3rd and 5th Saturday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of industry processes and regulations.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• An analytical mindset with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Proficiency with digital communication tools and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Sanction Screening: Conduct thorough sanction screenings to ensure that the company does not engage in transactions with sanctioned or blacklisted entities.
• Risk Assessment: Evaluate and analyze the potential risks in business operations and strategies. Provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
• Transaction Monitoring: Monitor and review transactions to identify any suspicious activities. Report and escalate any unusual or potentially illegal transactions.
• Develop and Implement Compliance Programs: Create, maintain, and update compliance programs to ensure the company is up-to-date with all regulations and standards.
• Internal Controls: Establish sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them. Ensure that the company’s remote operations do not compromise its compliance standards.
• Draft and Revise Company Policies: Regularly review and update company policies to reflect current compliance standards and best practices.
• Audit and Review: Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses, even in a remote setting.
• Training: Develop and conduct compliance training sessions for company staff, ensuring they are well-informed of regulations and best practices.
• Proposal Preparation: Draft and prepare comprehensive proposals for compliance projects or initiatives, ensuring they meet the company’s needs and standards.
• Collaborate: Work closely with other departments, such as HR and Finance, to ensure compliance across all facets of the company.
• Crisis Management: Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation, ensuring swift resolution and minimal damage.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with changes in the regulatory environment and industry best practices, ensuring the company’s compliance measures are always current.
