Centre for ADR works towards making students aware and explore various other mechanisms that are available to resolve a dispute that arose, either between two Individuals or companies. It also paves way to harmonious dispute resolution mechanism and aims at accrediting competent practitioners in the field of ADR. Centre for ADR perceives to make the society aware of the substitutes available to the lengthy legal proceedings.

About Col.Dr.Jeppiaar First National ADR Fest

The Col. Dr. Jeppiaar First National ADR Fest, ADReformatio, is a national-level Event, Scheduled for the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of October 2024. This fest aims to bring together law students from across India to engage in various Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) activities. This competition is a mixture of 4 competitions.

Competitions

• C-Neg Competition: A combined Client Counselling and Negotiation competition where participants will demonstrate their skills in client interaction and negotiation strategies.
• Med-Arb Competition: A hybrid competition combining mediation and arbitration, challenging participants to navigate both ADR processes.
• Legal Treasure Hunt: A fun and interactive event where participants will solve legal puzzles and challenges.
• Award Writing Competition: Participants will be tasked with drafting an award based on a given arbitration case scenario.
• The fest will also include an Orientation Session to guide participants, as well as ample networking opportunities to foster learning and collaboration.

Registration Fees

• Arbitral Award Writing- Registration fee for individuals: Rs.350, for team: Rs.550.
• C-Neg Competition- Registration fee: Rs.1500/ per team
• Med-Arb Competition – Registration fee: Rs. 2000/per team
• Treasure Hunt- Registration fee: Rs. 500/per person
