About National Law Fest 2.0

Law Fest 2.0 is a hybrid event that offers a wide range of legal activities to advance law students’ clinical abilities and practical knowledge. This series of events is being carried out at the university for the second time. The entire idea behind this event was to promote the students, by students, from the student culture.

Case Commentary Writing Competition

• The Competition is open to bona fide undergraduate students of recognized Colleges/Institutions/Universities who are currently pursuing their Bachelor’s Degree in Law i.e. 3 years LLB or a 5-year Integrated or Honors LL.B Program with all combinations on a regular basis.
• LLM students are too eligible to participate.
• Each team shall comprise of a maximum of 2 members. The number cannot be modified under any circumstances.
• Teams have to write case commentary on any one of the cases provided in the given link. (Both National & International Cases)
• The structure of the commentary is- Proper Case Title and Citation, Name of the Court, Judges, Parties to the case, Brief Facts, Issues involved, Judgment, Present status of the judgment, and conclusion.
• Students can refer to the detailed rules through the links provided in the brochure.

Important Dates

• Last Date of Registration- 28th October 2023 (extended)
• Last date for clarifications- 30th October 2023
• Last date to submit soft copies- 10th November 2023

Registration Fees

Registration-

1. Teams are required to complete their Registration by 28th October 2023.
2.  The Registration Fee is INR 700/– for one participant and INR 1000/– for two participants (Considered as one entry) which shall be payable through Online Transaction Mode and shall be made in favor of Shoolini University.
3.  Registration shall be done by filling up the Application Form available on Google Forms.
4. Once the Registration form is filled out and the Fee is paid, the teams shall receive the confirmation of their Registration from the Organisers with their team codes later on.
5. Registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis, with a preference to teams that have successfully provisionally registered.

NOTE- This is an ONLINE event. Participants are not required to come to the Organising University.
