About the Conference
School of Law, The NorthCap University is pleased to inform you that they are organizing the III International Conference on Law and Technology: Shaping Paradigms in the Digital Era scheduled on 15th – 16th March 2024. This Conference is being organized in collaboration with Centre for Cyber Laws, National Law University, Delhi, and Faculty of Law, UDF Centro Universitario, Brazil. The conference aims to initiate a discussion on some of the key areas which gain relevance when talking about the digital technology and the prevalent legal machinery. The conference would see presenters and attendees from diverse fields deliberating upon the intersection of Law and Technology.
Themes of the Third Edition Conference
The conference aims to initiate a discussion on some of the key areas that gain relevance when talking about digital technology and the prevalent legal machinery. The Sub-themes of the conference are as under:
- Application of Technology in Criminal Justice Administration
- Artificial Intelligence and Related Issues
- Right to Privacy and Data Protection
- Cyber Security and International Law
- Internet of Things (IoT) and Legal Liability
- Human Rights Law and Technology
- IPR and Technology
- Use of IT in Dispute Resolution
- Healthcare and Technology
- Start-ups and Technology
- E-Government and Digital Governance
- Corporate Law and Technology
- Social Media and Freedom of Speech
However, these sub-themes are only illustrative. Any relevant topics connected to the theme can be considered.
Submission Guidelines
- All submissions are to be made in English.
- Scholars, Researchers, Practitioners, Academicians, and Students pursuing five-year LLB or three-year LLB or any under/postgraduate degree programs are eligible to send their abstracts on issues related to the above themes.
- Authors of selected papers will be given an opportunity to present their papers in the conference.
- Joint authorship is permitted, subject to a maximum of two co-authors.
- Authors are required to do the individual registration.
- Upon approval through a peer-reviewing process, the best papers shall be published in a book with ISBN.
- A brief profile of the author indicating his/her designation, email ID, contact number and address has to be sent along with the abstract (250-300 words) of the paper to the Organizing Committee. The abstracts should be emailed to [email protected]
- Once the payment has been made, please take a screenshot of the transaction reflecting the transaction ID including UPI Reference Number. and email it along with the scanned copy of the registration form to [email protected]
- The Full-Length Paper should not exceed 6000 words excluding footnotes. It should be typed in Times New Roman Font Size 12 with 1.5” line spacing and 10 pt. for the footnotes on A4 size paper with 1” margin on all sides using MS Word. Use of ILI style of referencing and footnoting is to be followed.
- Outstationed and international presenters’ opportunity will be given to them to present their papers in Virtual mode subject to the production of proof.
