About LHSS Collective

Available research on the intersection of law with humanities and social sciences remains focused on and originates from the Global North. Perspectives from the Global South remain marginal to such discussions. Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai’s Law, Humanities, and Social Sciences Collective seeks to redress this imbalance by providing platforms for the expression and exchange of ideas and insights that craft and critique interdisciplinarity from a Global South perspective.

About Symposium

The LHSS International Symposium is a two-day virtual event that brings together scholars, students, and legal professionals to explore the dynamic interplay between law and social sciences. Building on the success of the first edition, this edition of the competition, being held on 11 – 12 May 2024, aims to foster a deeper understanding of crises faced by law. This symposium would also feature some of the most prominent voices in the field over the two days.
