About AMU Law Society Review
The AMU Law Society Review is the flagship journal of the Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh (U.P.). It is an annual journal which provides an extensive platform for academicians, practitioners, researchers, and students to assimilate, exchange and extend their ideas to facilitate the debate on contemporary legal issues through their scholarly articles and research papers.
Call for Papers – Key Details
Submission Categories
- Research Papers (3,000-5,000 words).
- Case Comments, Legislative Comments, Articles, Essays (1,500-2,500 words).
- Book Reviews (1,000-2,000 words).
Word count is exclusive of footnotes. Longer submissions will be considered at the discretion of the editorial board.
Eligibility
The Call for Papers is open to academicians, practitioners, researchers, and students to assimilate, exchange and extend their ideas to facilitate the debate on contemporary legal issues through their scholarly articles and research papers.

Submission Guidelines
- Email submissions to [email protected] with the subject: “Submission: [Title of the Piece]”.
- Attach the manuscript in Microsoft Word format (.doc/.docx).
- Include author details (Full Name, Designation, Institution, Contact Number) in the email body.
- All Submissions will be subject to a plagiarism check at the first stage of evaluation. If work is found to be unoriginal or plagiarised, it will be rejected at the first instance.
- Co-authorship is allowed for a maximum of two authors.
- Plagiarism: Up to 10% permissible.
- Exclusivity: Manuscripts must not be under consideration elsewhere.
Formatting Guidelines:
The body of the manuscript must be according to the following specifications:
- Times New Roman font
- Font Size 12 (Main Text), 10 (Footnotes)
- Justified Alignment, Line Spacing: 1.5 (Main Text), 1.0 (Footnotes)
- Submissions must follow the Bluebook 20th edition style of citation.

April 20, 2025.
Important Dates
- Release of Brochure: March 7, 2025.
- Last Date for Submission: April 20, 2025.
- Communication of Acceptance/Rejection: Before May 5, 2025.
