With the advent of 2025, the Jindal Society of International Law (JSIL) is delighted to announce a Call for Contributions for the second edition of its blog, The International Legal Consortium.

JSIL is a student-led initiative at O.P. Jindal Global University, guided by esteemed advisors, and aims to foster meaningful discourse in international law. The International Legal Consortium serves as a platform for sharing insights, opinions, and approaches to the international legal order.

About International Legal Consortium

The International Legal Consortium Blog (ILCB) is the flagship writing platform of JSIL, dedicated to advancing discourse on various aspects of International law. Our goal is to create a dynamic space where those passionate about International law can participate and engage in stimulating discussions, and further its exploration. We firmly believe that the realm of international law holds an abundance of untapped potential, and the current discourse merely skims the surface of its vast intricacies.

It is our steadfast endeavour to provide an outlet for individuals to delve deeper, encouraging the cultivation of conversations that are not only pioneering but also intellectually stimulating. Through ILCB, we aim to catalyze a new era of exploration and engagement in the ever-evolving landscape of international law

Eligibility

Students, faculty members, and academicians from law schools across India.

Legal practitioners, researchers, and international law enthusiasts interested in engaging with contemporary socio-legal issues.

Key Details for Submissions

  • Word Count: 1000-1500 words (inclusive of headings and subheadings).
  • Document Format: Word file (.doc or .docx); A4 sheet, normal margins, no borders.
  • Text Format: Times New Roman, size 12 for text, size 14 for headings.
  • References: All references should be hyperlinked.

  • Any topic pertaining to International Law, including (but not limited to):
  • International Humanitarian Crises
  • International Taxation
  • International Arbitration and Investment Laws
  • Critical Approaches to International Law
  • Ecocide and its implication on International Law
  • International Treaties of Intellectual Property Law
  • And so on

Editorial Guidelines

  • Each submission will go through an extensive review process with reference to the peer review scoresheet attached above. A piece may be accepted, rejected, or accepted but with recommendations.
  • Authors can expect a reply from the reviewer within 4-8 weeks of the submission of the blog piece. However, some delay may be expected because of the number of submissions to the blog.
  • All blogs submitted must be original and non-plagiarised. Any blogs with plagiarism of more than 30% would be immediately rejected.
  • Any blog piece published at the ILCB shall not be published at any other forum or platform. Copyrights of all entries shall exclusively be vested with JGU.
  • The decision of the editorial board with regard to publishing in the blog shall be final and binding, and further, no appeals shall be allowed against it.
