About the Call for Blog Submissions
The Centre for Family Law, National Law University, Jodhpur, has invited rolling blog submissions for the Family Law Chronicle, the official blog of the Centre. The blog serves as a platform for scholarly discussions and contributions on family law and related legal issues.
Submission Guidelines
Authors must ensure that:
- The submission is original and focuses on a topical issue in Family Law.
- Purely descriptive or uncritical articles will not be considered.
- The manuscript is between 1,000–1,500 words, although the Editorial Board may relax the word limit in appropriate cases.
- Co-authorship of up to two authors is permitted.
- The manuscript is written in English.
- The submission is prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.
- The manuscript is anonymised to facilitate an impartial review process.
Formatting and Citation Guidelines
Submissions should comply with the following requirements:
- Font: Garamond
- Main Text Font Size: 12
- Endnotes Font Size: 10
- Main Text Line Spacing: 1.5
- Endnotes Line Spacing: 1.0
- Alignment: Justified
- Online references must be hyperlinked wherever possible.
- Where hyperlinks cannot be used, endnotes must follow the Bluebook Citation Method.
- Speaking endnotes are not permitted.
- Verbatim quotations should be enclosed within double quotation marks and italicised.
Originality Requirements
Authors must ensure that:
- The manuscript is original and unpublished.
- All facts, authorities, and opinions are accurate.
- The similarity/plagiarism level does not exceed 15%.
- Any simultaneous submission to another publication is disclosed in the covering email.
Editorial Policy
- Every submission will be reviewed by one or more members of the Editorial Board.
- The Editorial Board may accept, reject, or request revisions.
- Receipt of submissions is ordinarily acknowledged within 48 hours.
- Editorial decisions are final.
Copyright Policy
Copyright in all published works will vest with the Centre for Family Law. Authors may subsequently cross-publish their blog posts on other platforms, provided due credit is given to the Family Law Chronicle Blog and it is stated that the work was first published on the CFL Blog, National Law University, Jodhpur.
Registration Procedure
Interested contributors should submit their manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format via email to [email protected].
The email subject line should read:
