About the Call for Blogs

The Centre for Law and Urban Development, NLU Delhi, invites original blog submissions on a rolling basis for its blog series. Submissions should offer insightful analysis, critical perspectives, or innovative solutions addressing emerging challenges and developments in urban law and policy.

Eligibility

Submissions are welcome from:

  • Academics and researchers
  • Legal practitioners
  • Policymakers
  • Students

Theme

Submissions may engage with, but are not limited to, the following indicative themes:

  • Real Estate and Housing Policy, including affordable housing and redevelopment
  • Urban Taxation and City Finance
  • Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Regulation in urban contexts
  • Urban Project Financing and Insolvency Frameworks
  • Public–Private Partnerships and collaborative infrastructure models
  • Smart Cities and Digital Infrastructure
  • Green and Sustainable Cities
  • Construction and Materials Regulation
  • Power, Water, and Urban Utilities

The above themes are indicative and not exhaustive, and submissions need not strictly fall within these categories. All submissions must be analytical rather than descriptive.

Submission Categories

  • Blog articles (800–1500 words)
  • Co-authorship of up to two authors is permitted

Formatting Guidelines

  • Font: Times New Roman, Size 12
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: One inch on all sides
  • Title: Bold and underlined, sentence case, not exceeding 10 words
  • Headings: Heading 2 in bold; Heading 3 underlined
  • Referencing through hyperlinks within the text

Submission Guidelines

  • An abstract of not more than 50 words must be submitted separately
  • Images, graphs, and tables may be used where relevant
  • A brief author bio (approx. 100 words), high-resolution photograph, and LinkedIn profile link (if available) must be submitted separately
  • Submissions must be original and will be screened for plagiarism and AI-generated content
  • Upon publication, all literary rights vest with CLUD

Submission Deadline

The call for submissions is ongoing, and entries are accepted on a rolling basis. Authors will be informed of the status of their submission within two weeks of submission.

  • File name format: Title_CLUD Blog
  • Document metadata must not disclose the author’s identity
