The National Law Institute University is a premier law school, and a centre for research located in Bhopal, India. Established in 1997 by the State of Madhya Pradesh, it is one of the first three law schools to have been established under the National Law University system. Since its inception, NLIU has earned a reputation as a premier institution providing quality legal education and engaging in research in cutting-edge areas of law. In its journey, the university has carved out a niche for itself in terms of academic excellence and the successful placement of its students. Today, NLIU stands as one of the most reputed legal institutions in India and is consistently rated as one of the best law universities in the country.

About the Journal

The NLIU Law Review is the flagship journal of the National Law Institute University, Bhopal. It is a peer-reviewed academic law journal, published biannually by the students of the University. The Law Review aims to promote a culture of scholarly research and academic writing by bringing to the forefront, articles on subjects of interest to the legal profession and academia. In order to further the objective of inculcating a culture of scholarly research and writing amongst students and providing a wider forum for discussion catering to a larger reader base, we have launched the NLR Blog. This is an innovative platform designed to provide a space for contemporary and accessible legal discourse.

Theme

The NLIU Law Review does not restrict itself to any particular area of law and welcomes contributions from all branches of law, as long as the work is relevant, up to date and original.

Submission Guidelines

  • Manuscripts submitted to the journal must not be co-authored by more than two persons. Authors are permitted to send only one submission per author or a team of co-authors.
  • Manuscripts must be within the word limit of 1000-1500 words.
  • Authors are requested to strictly adhere to the Submission Guidelines.
  • All the submissions must comply with our Copyright and Open Access Policy.
  • Manuscripts not in conformity with the  Submission Guidelines   may be rejected at the sole discretion of the Editorial Board. The Editorial Board reserves the right to send the manuscripts back to the authors for any modification(s) at any stage, in the event of non-conformity with any of the submission guidelines.
  • The Editorial Board may, in its absolute discretion, waive any of the above rules or amend the process. In case of any dispute or ambiguity, the decision of the Editorial Board shall be final and binding.
