Book – “SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT LAW: PRINCIPLES, PRACTICES, AND POLICY”
This book seeks to offer a thorough analysis of sustainable development legislation by delving into its fundamental concepts, global and regional frameworks, domestic applications, and rising obstacles. The book will provide readers with a comprehensive understanding of how legal instruments can effectively support and promote sustainable development goals by connecting theoretical concepts with actual implementations.

Eligibility

Chapter proposals are invited from academicians, research scholars, policymakers, policy consultants, climate activists, government representatives, think tanks, legal practitioners, students, business and industry leaders and other stakeholders.

THEME 1: – Overview of Sustainable Development Goals
History and evolution of the SDGs.
The role of law in achieving the SDGs.
Interdisciplinary approaches to sustainable development.

THEME 2:- National and International Legal Frameworks for Sustainable Development
Treaties and conventions relevant to the SDGs.
The role of international organizations in promoting sustainable development.
Case studies of successful international legal frameworks.

THEME 3:-Natural Resource Management
Legal framework for sustainable use of land, water, and minerals.
Biodiversity conservation and Habitat protection laws.
Legal approaches to sustainable agriculture and fisheries.

THEME 4:- Economic Sustainability Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Business Law
Legal mandates for CSR and sustainable business practices.
The role of corporate governance in achieving SDGs.
Impact investing and Legal Incentives for sustainable businesses.

THEME 5:- Trade, Investment, and Sustainable Development
Legal aspects of sustainable trade and investment policies.

The role of anticorruption laws in sustainable development.
Case studies of governance of reforms for sustainable development.

Emerging legal trends and their potential impact on the SDGs.

Important Dates

  • Submission abstract: 15th September, 2024
  • Abstract acceptance notification: 20th September 2024
  • Full chapter submission: 7th October, 2024
  • Acceptance/Revision notification: 14th October, 2024

Submission Guidelines

  • The abstract should be between 300-400 words and must have 5 keywords.
  • The abstract should indicate the title, scope, and structure of the proposed chapter.
  • Authors should email their original and unpublished submissions in Doc and Docx format via Google form link only.
  • Please enclose a cover letter along with the abstract.
  • The cover page should include the full name, designation, name of the organization/university /institution, email address, and contact number of the author co-authorship is allowed up to two co-authors.
  • Kindly attach the cover letter and abstract separately in the Google form.
  • Authors are requested to only send the abstract and cover letter initially per the dates provided below.
  • After the review of the abstract, authors would be directed to submit the full papers and detailed submission guidelines will be communicated to them.

Registration Fee

Fees (Per Author)- 600
This fee includes the cost of Plagiarism and Al check, as well as producing and distributing the book, and delivery charges shall be applicable based on the location.
