About the Job

Shri Nakoda and Company is seeking a motivated and skilled Legal Associate to join their litigation team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in legal drafting, research, and Court appearances, with the ability to independently handle Court proceedings and client matters.

Eligibility

• Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in litigation or corporate law with demonstrated ability to independently manage matters in court.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and research skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to persuasively argue legal points.
• Sound understanding of procedural laws and Court rules.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple cases simultaneously.
• Proactive, self-motivated with strong ethical standards and client focus.
• A law degree from a recognised institution with bar registration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, concise, and persuasive legal documents including petitions, pleadings, written submissions, contracts, and agreements.
• Conduct detailed legal research and analyse case laws, statutes, and regulations relevant to clients’ matters.
• Independently handle court appearances, including arguing matters before courts and tribunals across various jurisdictional levels.
• Assist senior lawyers in case strategy, hearing preparations, and client interactions.
• Manage case files, maintain timely follow-ups with courts and clients, and ensure compliance with procedural requirements.
• Draft legal opinions and advisory notes that aid clients and partners in decision-making.
