Eligibility

  • Qualifications shall be as prescribed in Sections I and II.1 of Appendix A of Notification No. 16 – Associate Professor (Law).
  • The prescribed qualifications and experience are the bare minimum. Possessing the prescribed qualifications or experience does not automatically entitle candidates to be called for an interview.
  • The prescribed qualifications must have been obtained from recognised universities or institutions.

Pay Structure

Level 13A, as per the VII Central Pay Commission.

Appointment

The appointment will be on a permanent basis until the age of superannuation, i.e. 65 years, subject to confirmation after satisfactory completion of two years of probation.

General Conditions

  • Foreign nationals, OCI, NRI and PIO candidates are permitted to apply. For selected candidates, confirmation of appointment will be subject to obtaining the necessary visa approvals as prescribed by the Government of India.
  • Candidates must produce original documents at the time of joining.
  • Candidates serving in Government or Public Sector Undertakings, including Boards and Autonomous Bodies, must submit a No Objection Certificate from their current employer at the time of interview, if not submitted earlier.
  • If the number of applications is large, NLSIU may restrict the number of candidates called for interviews to a reasonable limit.
  • No correspondence will be entertained regarding the conduct or result of the interview or reasons for not being called for an interview.
  • Canvassing in any form or bringing any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification.
