About the Job
Shah Jain & Co. is hiring an Associate for its Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) practice. The role involves assisting with trademark, copyright, and patent-related matters, supporting IP litigation, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing client relationships.
Eligibility
- 1–2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in an IP-based law firm (mandatory).
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting for intellectual property matters.
- Knowledge of trademark, copyright, and patent laws, along with filing procedures.
- Strong skills in legal documentation, including drafting reports and pleadings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage caseloads, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and standard office software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent). A focus on Intellectual Property Rights is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Assist with trademark filing, opposition, and renewals.
- Handle copyright protection matters.
- Support patent filing procedures.
- Assist clients in Intellectual Property litigation.
- Draft legal documents and conduct legal research.
- Support the enforcement of intellectual property rights.
- Manage client relationships and ensure accurate handling of legal processes.
