About the Job

The Associate will work as part of a team on matters involving general litigation, real estate, private client, general corporate, insolvency and bankruptcy, debt recovery, and related areas.

The role also involves handling corporate commercial transactions and drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements and legal documents.

Eligibility

LL.B. qualification through either the 3-year or 5-year programme.
At least 1 year of experience as a General Practice lawyer with a small or mid-sized law firm.
Experience in real estate, debt recovery, insolvency and bankruptcy, general corporate and general litigation matters.
Strong experience in legal research, drafting, court appearances and briefing counsels.
Above-average academic credentials.
Fluency in English.
Ability to work as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
Enrolment with the Bar Council of India is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Carry out legal research and draft pleadings.
Prosecute cases, brief counsels and appear before different courts and tribunals.
Draft legal notices, agreements and ancillary documents.
Handle corporate commercial transactions, including M&As, JVs, PE investments, corporate restructuring and fund formation.
Draft and negotiate license agreements, technology transfer agreements, business transfer agreements, franchise agreements, software license agreements, service agreements, software development agreements, NDAs, assignment deeds, distribution agreements and other related agreements.
Travel across India as and when required.
