About the Job
MAS Financial Services Ltd. is hiring an Area Legal Manager (Non-Litigation) for its SME – Loan Against Property (LAP) business. The role involves handling non-litigation legal matters, supporting loan documentation, conducting property due diligence, and providing legal advisory support to business teams.
Eligibility
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- LL.B. or LL.M. qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Drafting, reviewing, and vetting loan agreements, sanction letters, mortgage deeds, and other legal documents related to SME–LAP.
- Conducting title verification and due diligence of property documents to ensure legal validity and mitigate legal risks.
- Providing legal advisory support to the Credit and Operations teams for loan structuring and disbursement.
- Liaising with external advocates, valuers, and legal firms for legal opinions and property reports.
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory guidelines, including RBI regulations, company law, and contract law.
- Managing non-litigation legal matters, including documentation, contracts, and regulatory filings.
- Supporting business teams by providing practical legal risk assessments and solutions.
