About the Organisation

KIIT School of Law was founded by KIIT (Deemed to be University) in 2007 to address the increasing need for legal professionals in response to globalization and India’s rapidly expanding economy. The University has carefully designed its comprehensive curriculum, aligning it with the model proposed by the Bar Council of India. Over the years, KIIT School of Law has become a leader in hosting seminars, workshops, and competitions aimed at advancing legal education and raising awareness.

About the Opportunity

This competition was designed to assess the legal knowledge of students across the country and to promote and develop abilities related to the trial court’s procedure. Law students are put to the exam on both their legal and factual knowledge.

The 7th KIIT National Mock Trial Competition will take place on the campus of KIIT University, Bhubaneswar from November 22 to November 24. KIIT School of Law is happy to announce this.

Theme

This competition is designed to evaluate the legal acumen of students nationwide, while also fostering their skills in trial court procedures. It aims to challenge law students on both their understanding of legal principles and factual knowledge. The initiative provides law students with a valuable platform to deepen their understanding of trial court fundamentals, thereby broadening their overall learning opportunities. While many trial advocacy courses at law schools focus on honing tactical skills, some also cover the essentials of strategic planning. Participants will not only engage with experts but also gain recognition and valuable insights.

Through competition like this, KIIT School of Law has noted that a combination of strong support skills, the ability to think critically, and sound judgment in drafting are key attributes for a successful legal advisor in today’s environment.
