About the Organisers

Established in July 2003, the University Institute of Laws (UIL) at Panjab University Regional Centre (PURC), Ludhiana, is dedicated to providing quality legal education. With a focus on universalizing education, UIL aims to produce skilled advocates, professionals, and academicians. Emphasizing values and ethics, UIL has become a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in legal education in Ludhiana, offering LL.B, B.A. LL.B (Hons.), and LL.M courses. Committed to hard work and excellence, UIL envisions a successful future in the legal domain.

Eligibility

The competition is open for students who are pursuing LLB three year / B.A.LLB (Hons.)/B.COM.LLB/ BBA.LLB or other five-year law course during the current academic year.  Each team should have two speakers and one researcher. In order to avoid penalties, teams must not disclose their institution’s identity, and such disclosure may result in disqualification, decided at the organizer’s discretion. Only the designated three members are allowed, and each team will be assigned a team code for identification, avoiding participant names on or within written submissions.

Location

5th National Moot Court Competition shall be held in an offline mode at the University Institute of Laws, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana from March 6 to 8, 2025.

In the form, the team is required to fill in their details and attach the proof of payment of Rs. 4500.

Accommodation shall be provided at Rs. 1500 per day per team upon requesting by the participants.(excluding Registration Fee).

If these steps are performed, the registration is complete, and the team can participate in the competition subject to any disqualification mentioned hereinafter.

• Release of Moot Proposition and Commencement of Online Registration: 10^th January, 2025
• Last Date of Online Registration: 7^th February, 2025
• Last Date to seek Clarifications: 13^th February, 2025
• Release of Clarifications: 17^th January, 2025
• Last Date for Submission of Soft Copy of Memorials: 22^nd February, 2025
• Last date for Submission of Hard Copies of Memorials: 27th February, 2025

• Winner: INR 31,000/- and one Manupatra Academy course free of cost to each member
• Runner Up: INR 21,000/- and 50% discount on Manupatra Academy course
• Best Speaker : INR 5,100/-
• Best Researcher: INR 5,100/-
• Best Memorial: INR 5,100/-
• All participating teams will be provided with a certificate of participation
• Note: Manuptra Academy will give 10% discount to every Participant
