About the Organisers

Established in July 2003, the University Institute of Laws (UIL) at Panjab University Regional Centre (PURC), Ludhiana, is dedicated to providing quality legal education. With a focus on universalizing education, UIL aims to produce skilled advocates, professionals, and academicians. Emphasizing values and ethics, UIL has become a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in legal education in Ludhiana, offering LL.B, B.A. LL.B (Hons.), and LL.M courses. Committed to hard work and excellence, UIL envisions a successful future in the legal domain.

Eligibility

The competition is available for students enrolled in three-year LLB/five-year B.A. LLB (Hons.) courses in the current academic year.  Each team should have two speakers and one researcher. In order to avoid penalties, teams must not disclose their institution’s identity, and such disclosure may result in disqualification, decided at the organizer’s discretion. Only the designated three members are allowed, and each team will be assigned a team code for identification, avoiding participant names on or within written submissions.

 Location

The 4th National Moot Court Competition shall be held in an offline mode at the University Institute of Laws, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana from February 27^th to 29^th, 2024.

• Winner: INR 21,000/-
• Runner Up: INR 11,000/-
• Best Speaker: INR 3,100/-
• Best Researcher: INR 3,100/-
• Best Memorial Petitioner: INR 5,100/-
• All participating teams will be provided with a certificate of participation

• Release of Moot Proposition and Commencement of Online Registration: 10^th January 2024
• Last Date of Online Registration: 31^st January, 2024
• Last Date for Clarifications: 5^th February, 2024
• Release of Clarifications: 9^th February, 2024
• Last Date for Submission of Memorials (Soft Copy): 22^nd February, 2024

Registration Fee

Accommodation shall be provided at Rs. 1500 per day per team upon request by the participants(excluding Registration Fee).
