About CTIL
The Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL) was established in the year 2016 by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT).The Centre is aiming to create a dedicated pool of legal experts who could provide technical inputs for enhancing India’s participation in international trade and investment negotiations and dispute settlement. CTIL is the India Chair for WTO Chairs Programme.
About the Opportunity
It gives immense pleasure to announce that the Moot Court Committee, School of Law, Bennett University, is organising The III Centre for Trade and Investment Law – Bennett International Moot Court Competition, 2026, (III CTIL_BIMCC 2026) in collaboration with the Centre for Trade and Investment Law, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, and India Chair- WTO Chairs Programme, centred on the evolving theme of International Trade Law- particularly violation of labour rights obligations under a free trade agreements, scheduled to be held from 6th to 8th February 2026 at Bennett University, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, India.
The competition is designed to provide law students from across the globe with an opportunity to engage in rigorous legal discourse and develop their advocacy skills in the dynamic field of international trade law. It aims to foster an environment of intellectual exchange, analytical reasoning, and global collaboration among future legal professionals.
Theme
International Trade Law, with focus on violation of labour rights
Eligibility
Only students enrolled in a regular five-year integrated undergraduate law degree or a three-year graduate law degree are eligible to register for the competition.
Registration Fee
Indian Teams 7500/-INR and Foreign National Team is 100 USD, and SAARC Region is 50 USD per team (including accommodation on a sharing basis and food). Accommodation and Food will be available at the university for three days, i.e., 06th – 08th February 2026. Any further extension beyond these dates will be chargeable.
