About the Organisation
Centre for Corporate and Competition Law (CCCL) is a Centre of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad, which provides a social and academic platform to students interested in participating in or learning about corporate law. The mission of CCCL is to promote quality corporate understanding and study Competition Law in relation to it. The Centre has also invited legal professionals from the corporate world to interact with the students of SLS, Hyderabad. To advance our agenda, CCCL has successfully conducted multiple landmark events in the history of our institute, which has carved a niche corner for our centre within the legal fraternity.
About the Opportunity
The Centre for Corporate and Competition Law (CCCL), at Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad, is pleased to announce the 2nd National seminar on “The Role of Competition Law in Promoting Green Innovation and Technology in India” on 21st and 22nd February 2025, along with CorpTalk, an interactive and knowledge enriching atmosphere with esteemed corporate industrialist experts on board.
About Call for Papers
The seminar seeks to facilitate a better understanding of the policy and legal problems that are to be identified throughout. Numerous emerging trends in corporate and competition law in India shall be debated and discussed, and various views will be kept forward. Moreover, a platform shall be provided to the participants where they would get the opportunity to put out their ideas, thoughts, and perspectives on different themes through paper presentations ensued by a good mix of academicians and practitioners engaged and presented as panellists for the sessions.
All the papers shall be scrutinized through a blind review by the editorial board, and the selected paper shall be presented in front of our esteemed panellists, out of which the few best papers fulfilling the required criteria with innovative and non-plagiarized research content shall be categorized under “Best Presentation” by our esteemed and learned panellists.
This conference welcomes students, educators, researchers, practitioners, and scholars in Corporate and Commercial Laws, fostering a collaboration between legal and business professionals. Participants are welcome to discover the vast influence of competition law on industries, businesses, and consumers in our interactive Panel Discussion. Join expert-led Technical Sessions addressing present policy and legal hurdles and contribute your insights through articles and essays, actively shaping a thorough exploration of this vital subject.
The conference is scheduled to be conducted physically at Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad campus, on the 21st and 22nd of February, 2025.
The event also includes CorpTalk, providing an interactive and knowledge-enriching atmosphere with esteemed corporate industrialist experts on board. The panellist would enlighten participants about real-life experiences, crisis management, and the whereabouts of the market simulation in the dynamic corporate world. Participants would get an opportunity to interact with the Speakers and enhance their knowledge about the specific industries, and the legal aspects governing such industries

Submission Categories
- Articles (4,000 – 6,000 words): In-depth analyses on important themes, potentially with comparative perspectives. Co-authorship (up to 2 authors) is allowed.
- Essays (3,000 – 4,000 words): Focused on specific, contemporary issues with a central argument. Co-authorship (up to 2 authors) is allowed.
- Case Notes, Legislative Comments, Book/Article Reviews (1,500 – 3,000 words): Shorter pieces providing commentary on relevant topics. Co-authorship is not allowed.
Formatting Guidelines
- Font Size- 12
- Font Style- Times New Roman
- Line Spacing- 1.5
- Footnotes shall be presented in Bookman Oldstyle (20th edition)
Submission Guidelines
- All original submissions would be asked to be accompanied by an abstract that should not exceed 300 words.
- The abstract would expressly include the novelty and usefulness of the idea that the author wishes to put forth and must categorically mention the specific contribution of the submission beyond the existing available literature and the practical utility of his/her recommendations.
- The complete manuscript shall be submitted by the participants, furtherance to which, selection for the presentation would be on the said basis.
- Co-authorship is permissible up to a maximum of two authors. However, co-authorship would not be allowed in cases of Case Comments, Legislative Comments, and Book Reviews.
- Submission (not exceeding the prescribed word limit) should be attached as a Word file and in PDF format in the link below, which will be reviewed before being accepted.
