The Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram (GLC Thiruvananthapuram), established in 1875 by the visionary ruler of Travancore, is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions imparting legal education in India, celebrating over 150 years of academic excellence. The college is affiliated with the Faculty of Law of the University of Kerala.

About the Opportunity

The Moot Court Society of Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, is elated to announce the 20th All India Moot Court Competition (AIMCC). The 20th edition of AIMCC is scheduled to be held on February 5, 6, and 7, 2026, and is one of India’s longstanding and reputed moot court competitions, attracting participation from top law schools across the country.

The All India Moot Court Competition (AIMCC), the flagship event of Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, stands as one of India’s most respected and coveted stages for aspiring advocates. It is where arguments sharpen, ideas ignite, and future lawyers find their voice. Across its 19 stellar editions, AIMCC has built a distinguished legacy, drawing participation from premier law schools nationwide and setting benchmarks in competitive mooting.

AIMCC challenges participants with complex, contemporary legal issues that test their research, drafting, and advocacy skills. From the intense Preliminary Rounds to the gripping Finals judged by senior advocates and sitting judges, it offers participants rare exposure to real-time judicial evaluation. The competition culminates with the awarding of the prestigious Justice V. R. Krishna Iyer Ever Rolling Trophy, a symbol of legal excellence and intellectual rigour. Known for its demanding problems and dynamic structure, AIMCC continues to shape confident, analytical, and articulate young advocates.

Eligibility

All students enrolled in 5-Year or 3-Year Courses from Law Colleges and Faculties/ Departments of Law in India, recognized by Bar Council of India.

General Rules

Each institution participating in the Competition can send a team, consisting of a minimum of two or a maximum of three students. There can be two speakers and one researcher designated in each team. Teams shall identify the speakers and researcher during registration.

Registration Fee

The team should pay a registration fee of Rs. 4000/- and furnish the details of the same through the registration form.

  • Registrations Close – 18 December 2025 [Extended from Dec 15]
  • Clarifications Deadline – 18 December 2025
  • Soft Copy Memorial Submission – 7 January 2026
  • Results of Memorial Screening – 15 January 2026
  • Hard Copy Memorial Submission – 23 January 2026
  • Competition Dates – February 5 – 7, 2026
