About the Seminar/Conference
In an era where data is the new currency and digital footprints define identity, privacy and cybersecurity have moved from technical concerns to fundamental legal and constitutional questions. India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, rapid AI adoption, cross-border data flows, and the surge in cybercrimes like deep fakes (synthetic digital media) and digital arrest scams have created a complex legal landscape that demands urgent scholarly and policy attention.

This 2-day National Seminar seeks to bring together jurists, policymakers, technologists, and academicians to critically examine the evolving interface between law, technology, and privacy.
The theme “Digital Privacy and Cyber Law : Contemporary Legal Challenges and Emerging Dimensions” reflects the need to move beyond foundational debates on the Right to Privacy and engage with real-time challenges: consent architecture under the DPDP (Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023) Act, algorithmic accountability, platform liability, data localisation, and the legal treatment of AI-driven surveillance.
