About the Seminar on From Margin to Main Stream – Women at Organized & Unorganised Work Sectors
The two-day National Seminar aims to examine the position, contribution, rights, dignity, safety, and opportunities of women across organised and unorganised sectors of employment. It seeks to promote meaningful academic discussion on gender inequality, unpaid labour, workplace discrimination, occupational health and safety, reproductive concerns, sexual harassment, and the gap between constitutional guarantees and the lived realities of women workers.

The seminar will also explore the impact of artificial intelligence on women’s employment, labour rights and workplace security, women’s representation and reservation, religious sensitivity and workplace neutrality, and the intersectional vulnerabilities of marginalised women workers. It aims to bring together academicians, legal experts, policymakers, researchers, industry representatives, and civil society members to develop practical and evidence-based strategies for gender justice and inclusive workforce participation.
