National Law University, Jodhpur (NLUJ) is a public law school and a National Law University established under the National Law University, Jodhpur, Act, 1999 enacted by the Rajasthan State Legislature. The university was established for the advancement of learning, teaching, research and diffusion of knowledge in the field of law. It is one of the autonomous law schools in India.

The university is recognized by the Bar Council of India, as well as the University Grants Commission under Section 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956, and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities.

About the Opportunity

National Law University, Jodhpur in collaboration with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), is organizing a “Two-day National Training Programme” on important aspects of Human Rights. The event is scheduled for 5th-6th March 2024.

The Training Programme aims to address significant facets of gender rights, digital rights, and disability rights, thereby contributing to the objective of establishing a platform for dialogue and the exchange of ideas pertaining to various dimensions of human rights. This encompasses discussions and lectures on challenges, opportunities, best practices, and future directions within the realm of human rights.

Eligibility

The Training Programme is designed to equip practitioners, teachers, and students with the necessary knowledge and skills to address the evolving challenges in the digital era, promote gender justice, and advocate for disability rights.
To ensure that participants can fully engage with and benefit from the program, the following eligibility criteria have been outlined:

  • Students: Currently enrolled in a recognized college or institution.
  • Teachers: Currently employed as a faculty member at a recognized college or institution.
  • Professional Advocates: professional advocates who are enrolled at the Bar.

Registration Fee

₹500/- (Only for Advocates and Teachers)

Certificate of Participation: All attendees will receive a Certificate of Participation upon successful completion of the training.

FOR STUDENTS:

  • Please fill out the Google form carefully available here.

FOR TEACHERS AND ADVOCATES:

STEP 1: Make a payment of ₹500/- through the link https://nlujodhpur.ac.in/nlu-fees/fees-student-detail and select the option “NLUJ – NHRC 2 days Basic Training Programme on Human Rights”. Do not forget to take a screenshot of the payment receipt.

STEP 2: Upload the payment screenshot and fill out the Google form available here.
