KMCT Law College is a centre for legal education affiliated with the University of Calicut and approved by the Bar Council of India. Established under the KMCT Group of Institutions, the college is committed to academic excellence, ethical values, and professional legal training.

The institution offers integrated BBA LL.B. and B.Com LL.B. programmes along with a three-year LL.B. programme. Through academic activities, moot court training, legal aid initiatives, seminars, and other co-curricular programmes, the college seeks to promote both theoretical and practical legal education.

About the Seminar

Technology and artificial intelligence are rapidly transforming law, governance, employment, healthcare, education, banking, and social interaction. The increasing use of algorithms and digital systems has also raised significant concerns relating to privacy, accountability, fairness, human rights, cybersecurity, and the regulation of emerging technologies.

The seminar provides a platform to examine the evolving relationship between law and technology in the digital age. It encourages discussions on cyber law, digital justice, AI regulation, data protection, online freedom, and other contemporary legal challenges.

By bringing together diverse perspectives, the seminar seeks to promote innovative legal thinking and responsible regulatory approaches capable of balancing technological advancement with constitutional values, ethics, and justice.

Submissions may broadly relate to the following themes:

  • Cyber Law, Cybersecurity and Emerging Digital Threats
  • Platform Regulation and Freedom of Expression

  • Labour Rights and Automation in the Digital Economy
  • Justice Delivery in the Age of Technology
  • Intellectual Property, AI-Generated Works and Authorship Rights
  • Freedom of Association, Expression and Algorithmic Content Moderation

The above sub-themes are illustrative and not exhaustive.

Guidelines for Paper Submission

  • The paper must be original and unpublished.
  • The abstract should contain 250–300 words along with 4–5 keywords.
  • The full paper should not exceed 5,000 words.
  • References must follow the ILI citation style.
  • A maximum of two authors is permitted per paper.
  • The manuscript must be typed in Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
  • The similarity index should be below 10%.

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: 5 September 2026 (extended to 10th September 2026)
  • Full Paper Submission Deadline: 25 September 2026
  • Dates of Seminar: 6 and 7 October 2026
