The Law and Technology Committee is hosting its first edition of the 1st Virtual National Legal- Techathon 2024, to be held in collaboration with Christ University’s Incubation and Entrepreneurship Support Cell.

About the Opportunity

The First Virtual National Legal- Techathon, 2024 aims to provide students with a platform to apply analytical skills and innovative thinking to solving modern problems in law enforcement. This competition ensures an intellectually stimulating experience, providing participants with the chance to explore the convergence of law and technology.
The participants are expected to employ their innovative thinking capability and find a solution to the existing problems in law enforcement using Artificial Intelligence. The participants are expected to submit their models by justifying their execution and legal implications. (Kindly refer to the sample prototype made available as Annexure- 1 in the brochure for your reference)

Eligibility

The competition shall be open for any law student pursuing 3 3-year or 5-year LLB course. Individual participation or team participation shall be allowed. In the case of team participation, a team can consist of a maximum of two participants.

Theme

The broad theme of the event is “Enforcing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions”.
The sub-theme for the sane is “Application of Artificial Intelligence or any other technology in law enforcement to a contemporary problem in society.

Prizes

• First Place (Best Prototype): INR 7000
• Second Place: INR 5000
• Third Place: INR 3000
• Special Recognition- I: INR 2000
• Special Recognition-II: INR 2000
  Certificate of Participation will be given to all participants

• Last date to register: February 12, 2024
• Last date to seek clarifications: February 14, 2024
• Last date for submission: February 22, 2024
• Announcement of selected submissions: February 28, 2024
• Presentations: March 10, 2024
• Valedictory ceremony: March 11, 2024

Registration Fee

The registration fee for the competition is as follows:

• INR 500 for a team of two
• INR 300 for individual registration
  Registration fees shall be paid post the selection of the model. Nonpayment of registration fees shall invite immediate disqualification from participation.
