It has hosted national-level events like the NUJS-HSF Moot, the NUJS ADR Mediation Competition, and Para-Invicta – India’s only law school sports fest for specially-abled students.

About the Opportunity

The 1st NUJS National Disability Law Moot Court Competition, 2025, is India’s first national moot court competition exclusively focused on disability rights and law. This initiative provides a platform for aspiring legal professionals to engage critically with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, and other related frameworks through simulated court proceedings, expert feedback, and high-level legal debate.

Issues include:

  • Access to justice
  • Workplace discrimination
  • Constitutional protections
  • Implementation of the RPWD Act, 2016

Eligibility

  • Open to all undergraduate students enrolled in a recognised Indian law school (5-year or 3-year LLB program).
  • No cap on the number of teams per institution.
  • Cross-institutional teams are permitted.
  • Each team must consist of a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 3 members.
  • Postgraduate students are not eligible.

Registration Fee

  • Memo Round: ₹2,500 per team
    • Discounted Fee: ₹2,100 for teams with at least one PwD candidate (on submission of certificate)
  • Oral Round (for shortlisted teams): ₹2,000 per team
  • Accommodation (optional): ₹5,500 per team (for August 21–24, 2025)
