National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam, is a premier law institute located in the gateway city of North-East that is Guwahati, Assam. It was established in 2009 through the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam Act passed by the State Legislature of Assam as a public university dedicated to the field of legal education.

The Literary and Debating Committee of NLUJA, Assam, serves as a platform for students to articulate their thoughts, express opinions, and refine oratory skills. We believe in the power of literature to preserve culture, heritage, and imagination, and our committee strives to foster an environment that celebrates, discusses, and promotes literary endeavors.
About 1st National Asian Parliamentary Debate, NLUJA
NLUJA PD is a pioneering Asian Parliamentary Debate Competition open to university students nationwide. It offers a dynamic format for teams of three to engage in insightful discussions on various topics and issues.

- Adjudicator Policy: N+1
- Cash Prize Pool: Upto 60K
- Mode– Online on the Discord Platform
- Cross Teams Allowed
- Applications open for Independent Adjudicators
Eligibility
Open to UG and PG students from recognized institutions.
Registration Fee
Rs 500 per person (Early Bird Discount: Rs 400 until 15th May)
Prizes
The rewards for the participants are as follows:
- Best Team Award: Rs. 20,000/-
- Runners-Up Team Award: Rs. 15,000/-
- Best Speaker: Rs. 7,500/-
- 2nd Best Speaker: Rs. 5,000/-
- Best Adjudicator: Rs. 7,500/-
- 2nd Best Adjudicator: Rs. 5,000/-
Additionally, all participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.

- 27th May: Registration Deadline
- 31st May: Preliminary Rounds
- 1st June: Quarter Finals and Semi-Finals
- 2nd June: Finals and Valedictory Ceremony
