The Department of Law, School of Legal Studies, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow, is a premier institution dedicated to advancing legal knowledge and promoting excellence in legal education. About the Opportunity

The 1st B.R. Ambedkar National Moot Court Competition 2025 provides a platform for law students across the country to hone their advocacy skills, engage in legal analysis, and contribute to the legal discourse. This competition is designed to simulate courtroom proceedings, allowing participants to argue on complex legal issues before esteemed judges.

Eligibility

  • Open to undergraduate law students pursuing a 5-year integrated LL.B. or 3-year LL.B. program from recognized institutions across India.
  • Teams must consist of three members: two speakers and one researcher.

Theme

The moot problem is based on an intersection of:

  • Fundamental Rights
  • Criminal Law
  • The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act)

This multifaceted theme encourages participants to delve into pressing issues of fundamental rights, criminal law, evidence, and child protection.

Registration Fee

  • ₹4,500 per team (inclusive of moot materials and certificates).

Prize Pool of 1 Lakh Rupees

Important Dates

  • Last Date for Registration: January 31, 2025
  • Submission of Memorials: February 11, 2025
  • Competition Dates: from 14th-16th of February in Online and 22nd-23rd February in Offline mode.
