Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Legal Studies (ABVSLS), a prestigious institution of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, is dedicated to advancing legal education and fostering excellence in the legal field. Founded in 2017, ABVSLS is committed to innovative legal thinking and a comprehensive educational approach.

the premier law school is set up with a mission to pioneer legal education reforms and stands for excellence where legal education transcends boundaries and ignites possibilities. ABVSLS provides 5-year integrated Undergraduate Programmes, including B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), BBA.LL.B. (Hons.), as well as 3-year LL.B. (Hons.) and a 2-year LL.M. program with specializations in Business Law, Criminal Law, and Constitutional Law, and Ph.D Programme, making it one of the few full-fledged law institutes in Uttar Pradesh that offers such wide variety of courses.

About the Competition

Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Legal Studies is extremely proud to announce the inaugural edition of its prestigious 1st Atal Bihari Vajpayee National Moot Court Competition. Sponsored by the esteemed Association of Indian Universities (AIU), this momentous event is designed to provide an unparalleled platform for law students to engage with intricate legal challenges and showcase their advocacy prowess through intensive debate and comprehensive analysis.

Scheduled to take place from 4th to 6th October 2024, this premier event is anticipated to attract participation from law schools across the nation, thus fostering a vibrant spirit of mooting and scholarly discourse. Participants will be challenged to present meticulously reasoned arguments and engage in profound intellectual exchanges, adjudicated by distinguished legal scholars and practitioners.

Eligibility

• Students duly enrolled and pursuing a five-year integrated undergraduate or a three-year graduate law program may apply to participate in this competition.
• Students enrolled and pursuing a post-graduate diploma or short-term certificate courses in law are not eligible to apply.
• Students from any University/Department/Institute not recognized by the Bar Council of India to impart law degrees are not eligible to apply.
• Multiple teams from the same institution are permitted, provided each team must undergo a separate registration process and must fully comply with all specified requirements.

Registration Fee (Non-Refundable): 

• With Accommodation: Rs. 5000
• Without Accommodation: Rs. 3000

Registration Procedure

• The registration procedure for the competition is as follows: Interested teams are required to register themselves to participate in the competition by filling a registration form.
• Deadline for the online Registration: 20th September, 2024 (Till 11:59 P.M. IST).
• The confirmation of Registration will be notified to the teams by the MCS, after the completion and verification of the Registration formalities
